Excerpt from today's work:

Trusting in God

A young woman named Mary was engaged to a good man named Joseph. An angel visited Joseph in a dream and told him that Mary would have a baby through the Holy Spirit. The angel told him the baby�s name would be Jesus, which means �God saves us.� Jesus was to be our Savior.

All this happened so God�s promise could come true. The prophet Isaiah had said a virgin would have a son who would be named Emmanuel. This means �God is with us.�

Joseph listened to the angel and trusted in God. He and Mary got married. Jesus was born, and Joseph cared for Mary and Jesus.

That is to say, children, that the birth of a child named Jesus fulfills the prophecy that a child named Emmanuel would be born. I guess we'll just have to trust in God on this one.
